6/2-4。ベルギーでフルコンタクト空手キャンプが開催され、共催国のベルギーとオランダを中心に近隣諸国から430名の参加者が稽古をともにした。このキャンプはJFKOが提唱するWFKO構想に呼応するもので、ベルギーとオランダのフルコンタクト空手道連盟が一年がかりで企画して実現したもの。参加者数もヨーロッパのフルコンタクト空手キャンプとしては記録的な規模となった。
それだけではない。参加団体も実に多数である。IFK（会長:スティーブアニール）やKWF（会長:ルックホランダー）などのKWU（極真世界連合）勢に加えて極真連合会、国際芦原なども参加した。この記念すべきキャンプを幹事として取りまとめたのはWKO（新極真会）の支部長たちだ。フルコンタクト空手の国際組織化に向けて各国の幹事役を引き受けている責務からこうした具体的な活動を企画して運営役を務めた。このキャンプにはゲスト指導者としてJFKOの緑理事長が招待されて指導をしたほか、参加した各団体の師範方も指導を担当した。なかでも、K-1王者として華々しい活躍をするセーム・シュルト師範の参加は参加者に大きな励みになった。キャンプ期間中には身体障害者の空手クラスが設けられるなど、フルコンタクト空手界の国際的な大同団結の輪は大きな広がりを見せた。
JFKOでは、直近に迫った2020東京オリンピックでの追加提案種目において、空手競技のフルコンタクト種目採用の可能性を追求するべく、関係各所にその要望を伝え、空手界の実情、そしてフルコンタクト空手の実勢を説明して理解を求めている。
こうした活動と同時進行する国際組織化、WFKO創設に向けて各国連盟の設立が一層の広がりを見せている。

Fullcontact unification extends to the World

From June 2nd to 4th, Fullcontact Karate Camp was held in Belgium. Belgium and Netherland co-organized this camp and these participants are not only from these host countries also other European countries. Japan Fullcontact Karate Organization (JFKO) has planned to establish World Fullcontact Karate Organization (WFKO), the camp was held as a part of a step of establishing WFKO and the co-organizers, Fullcontact Karate Organization of Belgium and Netherland had planned of this camp about a year ago, and they realized their plan. The number of participants was significant for Fullcontact Karate Camp in Europe.
Multitude of organizations and groups participated in this camp. Members of IFK (Hanshi Steve Arneil), KWF (Shihan Loek Hollander) and KWU, Kyokushin Union, Ashihara International and so on. WKO Shinkyokushinkai Branch Chiefs managed this significant camp. They have worked as their country managers for establishing internationalized Fullcontact Karate organization, and they planned detailed activities and organized this camp. JFKO’s chairman Kenji Midori was invited as guest instructor, Shihans of each organizations and groups instructed as well. Shihan Sem Schilt, a former K-1 Champion also joined in this camp, his presence encouraged many participants. Classes for disables people were held during this camp, and international unification of Fullcontact world was extended.

JFKO has worked to pursue any possibility that Fullcontact Karate will be included of the additional suggestion event for Tokyo Olympic 2020. We have informed our request to related parties, and we have explained and asked for understanding of fact of Karate world and reality of Fullcontact.

Our activities and managing internationalized Fullcontact Karate organization, many countries have worked for Fullcontact Karate organization in their country to aim for WFKO establishment.
