2013年3月18日16時からJFKO:全日本フルコンタクト空手道連盟の記者会見をおこないました。
The JFKO held a press conference on March 18, 2013.

記者会見に先立ちおこなわれた理事会での互選後、総会での承認を経て役員が確定しました。
Prior to the press conference, the JFKO held its first Board Meeting, which included an election of board members by mutual vote. With approval at its first General Assembly, the JFKO Board Members were officially appointed.

理事長には緑健児（新極真会）、副理事長には渡辺正彦（空手道MAC）、小井義和（社団法人極真会館）が選出されました。

Kenji Midori of Shinkyokushinkai was elected the Chairman, and Masahiko Watanabe of Karatedo MAC and Yoshikazu Koi of the All Japan Kyokushin Union were elected Vice Chairman.

●記者会見/ Press Conference

記者会見は16時から品川プリンスホテルでおこなわれました。
The JFKO held its press conference at Shinagawa Prince Hotel from 16:00.

記者会見ではフルコンタクト空手の歴史、空手競技の歴史を振り返りつつ、本連盟を設立する意義や今後の活動方針などをご報告させていただきました。そして本連盟が目指す道として以下の３つを挙げました。
The history of Fullcontact Karate and its competition was explained at the conference, followed by a detailed report of the future activities of the organization, and the significance of its establishment.

1.競技種目の確立－－「フルコンタクト空手」という競技種目の確立を目指します
2.社会認知の向上－－公益社団法人化して日本体育協会（体協）加盟を目指します
3.国際的な組織化－－　「ジャパンモデル」を世界各国で展開していきます

The road we envision:
1.The firm establishment as a competition category: We will strive to firmly establish Fullcontact Karate as a competition category.
2.To increase recognition within society: To make the organization into a “Public Interest Incorporated Association”, and enter the “Japan Sports Association”.
3.The forming of an international organization: We will spread the “Japan Model” to the various countries in the world.

フルコンタクト空手の統一した競技団体を設立し、伝統あるスポーツ競技として社会的な認知を高め、フルコンタクト空手を志す子どもたちの未来のために、公益社団法人として体協への加盟を実現したいと考えています。その延長にオリンピック種目化を見据えています。

私たちは、フルコンタクト空手の競技種目の確立と社会的認知、さらには国際化を活動目標にしています。関係各所に対して、我々の活動への理解と認知を深める努力をしてまいります。地道な活動の延長線上に必ずや「オリンピック種目化」が実現するものと信じています。

To establish a unified organization of Full Contact Karate, to increase the recognition within society as a traditional competition category, and for the future of the children practicing Full Contact Karate, we would like to join the Japan Sports Association as a Public Interest Incorporated Association. We believe the Inclusion in the Olympic Games will follow as a result of these steps.

The goal of our activities, is the firm establishment of the Full Contact Karate competition, the increase of its recognition within society, and its internationalization. We will make the effort to achieve further recognition and understanding towards these activities, for all related parties. We firmly believe that as a result of these steady activities, we will realize the “Inclusion in the Olympic Games”.

連盟設立の応援に野田聖子議員、中谷元議員、武田良太議員が駆けつけてくださいました。
Seiko Noda, Gen Nakatani and Ryota Takeda, all members of the House of Representatives, attended the press conference as a sign of support.

記者会見には63社のメディアの方々が取材に集まりました。

記者会見の冒頭に川村建夫会長から会長職を引き受けてのごあいさつと、フルコンタクト空手の現状についてお話ししました。
At the beginning of the press conference, President Takeo Kawamura made a speech and explained the current situation of Fullcontact Karate.
