The 1-year postponement of the 1st WFKO World Championship/6th JFKO All Japan Championship (to May 2021)

The 1-year postponement of the 1st WFKO World Championship/6th JFKO All Japan Championship (original date: May 30-31, 2020) has been decided, with the new date set as May 2021. Although efforts were made to hold the All Japan sometime in 2020, due to difficulties in securing the appropriate conditions, and the uncertainty of when the coronavirus (COVID-19) problem will end, it was decided to postpone both tournaments for 1 year.
The 1-year postponement of the 1st WFKO World Championship (from 2020 to 2021) was realized due to the initiative and proposal by the WKO Poland Branch, to postpone the 7th World Karate Championship in Weight Categories for 1 year (from 2021 to 2022), which they will be organizing as the host country. The cooperation and support from WKO Poland, led by Shihan Remigiusz Karpinski as the President and Country Representative, who is also a member of the WFKO Board, is very much appreciated.
As for the 6th JFKO All Japan Championship, the registration fee for the competitors that sent their application by March 2, will be refunded appropriately. Further details will be announced separately.
